With more than 55 Event Rooms and over 80,000 square feet of flexible space, The Westin Peachtree Plaza features dramatic pre-function areas and boasts the only Ballroom in Atlanta with a balcony suitable for seating. Our function space is tiered on the main levels of the hotel to create intimate settings for the various rooms.

Gregg Lauer began his hotel career at The Westin Peachtree Plaza in 1987 as Convention Services Manager before becoming a meeting planner for Dun & Bradstreet Software and Per-Se Technologies, earning his CMP designation and serving on several committees for the Georgia Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (GaMPI). Gregg has been the Director of Catering and Convention Services since 1999, and has brought a vast knowledge of both sides of the hospitality industry to his position.

Currently, Lauer serves as Co-Chair of the CMP Study Group Committee, a program of GaMPI. He has been recognized for his work by earning the Manager of the Quarter Award at The Westin Peachtree Plaza in 2002 and leading his team to win the 2001 Starwood Convention Services Team of the Year Award for the southeast region. Lauer also received Shining Star Awards from GaMPI in 1996, 2000 and 2003. Most recently, he merited the Hayward C. Cox, Jr., CMP Continuing Quality Award in recognition of his overall contributions to GaMPI over the last 10 years.
